Ecumenical Semester in Sibiu (Hermannstadt, Romania)

Where is Sibiu located?
Sibiu lies near the Southern Carpathians. Historically, the most important trade routes of Transylvania crossed here, and Sibiu was the political center of the Transylvanian Saxons. It was not until the late 1930s that the Transylvanian Saxons became a minority. More than 12000 students study in Sibiu. Sibiu is a cultural and spiritual center, the seat of the Protestant Bishop of the Transylvanian Saxons and the Orthodox Metropolitan of Transylvania.

What are my possibilities?
The Faculty of Orthodox Theology and the Department of Portestant Theology offer an ecumenical semester in German in Sibiu (Hermannstadt), Romania, every summer semester. The history and diversity of denominations in Transylvania is unique in Europe. 

The ecumenical semester consists of lectures, seminars, exercises, insights into church practice, excursions, guided tours, excursions, ... It is possible to obtain 30 ECTS credits during the semester. There are some places in the dormitory, in addition, the university and the church offer housing for about 50-100 euros per month.
